Wale to play RFK for D.C. United

Having already played Cowboys-Redskins at FedEx, Wale is now ready for the main event: D.C. United-New England Revolution at RFK.

"We are thrilled to have Wale perform at our home opener on April 3," United President Kevin Payne said in a release. The performance is at 6 on the west side of RFK, and it's free and open to the public. Still waiting to see how the dude works "Ben Olsen's chest hair" into his lyrics. And United deciding to showcase D.C.-bands and artists this season proves once again why it makes sense for us to send them up to Baltimore. Sigh.

Other things that happened:

* It's time to help Gilbert Arenas choose a new nickname. Yes, about 400 people have suggested "Six Shooter" already. And no, Hibachi shouldn't really count as "new." (Ball Don't Lie)

* All eight of JaVale McGee's Thursday night dunks, in one place. (Bullets Forever)

* That was more dunks than Juwan Howard or Nick Young have all season. (Ball Don't Lie)

* Manchester United is cracking down on fans carrying anti-ownership banners. Hmmm. (Guardian)

* Bill Clinton on the Hoyas' quarterfinal win: "It wasn't like Syracuse folded. I mean, Georgetown just played out of their minds....I think that win will help Georgetown more than it will hurt Syracuse for the tournament." (Star-Ledger)

* Dorenzo Hudson puts himself on the all-time all-ACC team, and Brendan Haywood and Antawn Jamison on the second team. (D1scourse)

* Inside the Redskins' revamped weight room. Plus lots of pilates talk. (Skins Blog)

* Extensive talk from Andre Carter about his current situation with the Redskins. Doesn't sound disgruntled, but nor does he sound gruntled. Plus, he says "You've got to come correct," which is always true. (Homer McFanboy)

* Caps fans are asked not to honk their horns so much when leaving the Verizon Center. (WTOP)
